Pros that have great track records use only very few indicators and chart support plus resistance. When the strategy becomes overly complicated, it will confuse the trader and the profits may be lost just like that. It is much better to have a simple strategy that makes money rather than complex ones that makes you lose money. Forex is different from working a day job. Keep the complexity to the engineers and you can keep the profits to yourself in forex trading.
2. Great money management is key
Although there are tons of strategies you can follow to profit from your trades, the single most important thing that pro traders have is money management skills. You want to protect what you have earned so far, so it’s wise to learn how to manage your money and always place stop losses. As long as your losses are small, you will be able to profit consistently in the long term.
3. Discipline yourself
In order to become a pro trader, you have to be able to discipline yourself. you can’t be controlled by your emotions to make trades. When you look at your trades going down the drain, it’s better to put stop losses rather than letting your emotions interfere and hoping that the trade will make a reversal.
The same goes for profitable trades as well, don’t talk yourself out of a winning trade.
